Location: Mike OCallahan Military Medical Center (MOMMC) Nellis AFB Las Vegas NV
Schedule: MondayFriday 8hour shifts between

Position Summary

The Admissions and Disposition Clerk manages patient admissions transfers and discharges in a military hospital setting. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and families while ensuring accurate documentation data entry and compliance with DoD and HIPAA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Admit patients by greeting visitors verifying identification and insurance and creating patient records
• Coordinate patient discharges and transfers ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
• Update electronic health records (EHR) and scan required forms
• Track patient status and bed availability
• Explain patient rights obtain consent signatures and assist patients in highpressure situations
• Review required documentation (e.g. AF Form 577 or equivalent) during inpatient stays

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Experience in a medical office hospital insurance or clerical role preferred
• Proficiency with computer systems and EHR platforms
• Knowledge of medical terminology and privacy regulations
• Strong communication organization and customer service skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain base access to Nellis AFB
