Junior Accountant

Responsibilities:

1. Weekly/Daily responsibilities:

• Overseeing/ follow-up of bank charges on a daily basis working closely with Trade Finance team
• Booking SG&A invoices and authorizing secondary costs in system
• Review specific accounts and assist the daily team to technical questions
• Allocating cash receipts cash disbursements and perform cash match on customers/suppliers outstanding invoices for trade and non-trade transactions
• Booking of intercompany transactions and direct recharges
• Processing payment of CHF invoices monitoring payments in other currencies with Treasury Department and booking of cash application
• Daily interaction with traffic teams to ensure control on the invoices to be paid/booked

2. Monthly/Quarterly closing responsibilities:

• Reconciling bank accounts and producing the monthly bank reconciliation analysis report
• Booking loans and performing daily loan reconciliation
• Taking part in closing activities with the other accountant
• Assist the accounting and reporting manager on specific analysis

Requirements:

• Education and training: Financial and accounting education Trading company a plus
• Professional experience: At least 3 years experience in accounting within international environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel and outlook.
• Proficient in both French and English.
• Strong organizational communication and presentation skills required.
• Open minded and ready to give hands when requested.
• Strong sense of responsibility ability to perform under pressure with attention to details and accuracy
