Lead the Science Behind High-Performance Materials...
An industry-leading advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Staff Metallurgical Engineer to drive quality process innovation and technical excellence across a critical production environment.
This is a high-visibility role where your expertise in metallurgy and materials science will directly influence product performance customer outcomes and operational success.
What Youll Do:
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex quality issues
Evaluate and improve products processes and manufacturing equipment
Ensure compliance with ISO / quality systems (AS9100 TS16949 etc.)
Partner with operations lab teams and leadership to drive process optimization
Apply metallurgical expertise across casting rolling heat treatment and material processing
Support a 24/7 manufacturing environment including occasional off-shift collaboration
What You Bring:
Bachelors degree in Metallurgy Materials Science or Chemical Engineering
3 years of metallurgical experience (6 preferred)
Strong knowledge of:
Alloy systems & metal microstructures
Solidification deformation and heat treatment processes
Failure analysis and materials performance
Experience with quality systems (AS9100 TS16949) and Lean manufacturing
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering production and quality teams
Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. person status required)
