Staff Metallurgical Engineer Advanced Manufacturing

Lead the Science Behind High-Performance Materials...
An industry-leading advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Staff Metallurgical Engineer to drive quality process innovation and technical excellence across a critical production environment.
This is a high-visibility role where your expertise in metallurgy and materials science will directly influence product performance customer outcomes and operational success.
What Youll Do:
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex quality issues
- Evaluate and improve products processes and manufacturing equipment
- Ensure compliance with ISO / quality systems (AS9100 TS16949 etc.)
- Partner with operations lab teams and leadership to drive process optimization
- Apply metallurgical expertise across casting rolling heat treatment and material processing
- Support a 24/7 manufacturing environment including occasional off-shift collaboration
What You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgy Materials Science or Chemical Engineering
- 3 years of metallurgical experience (6 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Alloy systems & metal microstructures
- Solidification deformation and heat treatment processes
- Failure analysis and materials performance
- Experience with quality systems (AS9100 TS16949) and Lean manufacturing
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering production and quality teams
- Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. person status required)
