We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Mentor Ohio office. This is a critical role designed for a professional who thrives on technical detail and operational excellence. You will work directly with our leadership and project teams to ensure that every phase of our diverse portfoliofrom historical renovations to federal healthcare facilitiesis executed with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in the execution and oversight of commercial and government construction projects.
  • Facilitate project documentation including RFIs submittals and change order management.
  • Coordinate communication between subcontractors vendors and clients to maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets identifying potential risks before they impact the critical path.
  • Participate in job site visits and progress meetings to ensure adherence to safety and quality specifications.
  • Assist with the procurement process and contract administration for diverse project types.

Qualifications

  • An associate degree in Construction Management Engineering Technology or a related technical field is preferred. However industry experience can be acceptable in place of a degree.
  • Proven experience in a construction environment preferably within commercial or government sectors.
  • Strong technical fluency and the ability to interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to represent the firm professionally to stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset focused on risk mitigation and problem solving.
