Senior Project Manager - Natural Gas Power Generation

Contract Position 12 Months Remote Eligible

Primary Location: Juno Beach FL

Rate: $47.73/hour

Overview

Our client is a leading North American energy company at the forefront of power generation technology committed to providing clean reliable and cost-effective energy solutions. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to the growth of their fossil fuel power generation portfolio with a specific focus on natural gas projects.

Ideal Candidate: A results-driven project management professional with 6-10 years of experience specifically within fossil fuel power generation (natural gas). You are adept at leading cross-functional teams managing complex projects from conception through completion and thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple natural gas power generation projects ensuring they are delivered on time within scope and on budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and project leader coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams including Development Environmental Engineering Supply Chain Legal and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans schedules budgets and risk registers.
  • Provide regular detailed updates to senior leadership within the Engineering and Construction Department.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Identify project risks and issues early developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with company policies industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute expertise and strategic input to support the companys growth objectives in the fossil generation business.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6-10 years of progressive project management experience with a minimum of 3 years specifically in fossil fuel power generation preferably natural gas plants.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Business Administration or a related technical field. PMP certification is a strong plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of power generation project lifecycles engineering principles procurement and construction (EPC) processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with project management software (MS Project Primavera P6 or similar) and the MS Office Suite.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead without direct authority influence stakeholders and manage diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Location: Ability to work remotely with occasional travel as needed. Juno Beach FL is the primary office location.
