About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Site HSE Coordinator to join our QSE team within the Engineering & Construction division. This role will be critical in ensuring the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) practices during the construction phase of a major industrial project.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards and supporting operational excellence on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the Project HSE Management System in line with company procedures client requirements and local regulations
- Define implement and maintain the Site HSE Plan ensuring proper documentation control and communication
- Prepare and manage HSE documentation including:
- Risk Assessments
- Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
- Environmental Impact Evaluations
- Emergency Response Procedures
- Supervise and coordinate the Site HSE team ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Oversee and ensure compliance of subcontractors HSE activities
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits across all project stakeholders (suppliers vendors subcontractors)
- Support and advise the Project QSE Manager on regulatory and compliance matters
- Lead or support incident investigations reporting and corrective actions
- Act as an active member of the Emergency Response Team
- Manage non-conformities ensuring proper follow-up and communication to key stakeholders
- Participate in HSE meetings and produce performance reports using leading and lagging indicators
- Deliver HSE training and mentoring to project teams and staff
- Maintain organized and auditable HSE documentation records for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial environments
- Strong preference for experience in:
- Power
- Oil & Gas
- Refining
- Petrochemical sectors
Education & Certifications
- Bachelors degree (Engineering preferred)
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
- ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 training
- Auditor training (ISO 19011)
- First Aid / CPR certification
Technical Skills
- MS Office (advanced level)
- AutoCAD
- MS Project
Languages
- English (mandatory)
- Spanish (preferred)
