Job Summary
Job Description
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries desserts cakes and baked goods according to standard recipes and quality standards
- Assist in daily pastry kitchen operations including mise en place preparation baking and finishing
- Ensure consistent product quality presentation taste and portion control
- Follow hygiene food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with GMP/HACCP requirements
- Monitor and manage ingredient usage stock levels and report shortages to senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry section equipment and workstation at all times
- Support new product development and seasonal menu creation when required
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff or commis
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce wastage
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Perform other duties assigned by the kitchen management team
Job Requirements
- Certificate / Diploma in Pastry Culinary Arts or related field
- At least 24 years of experience in pastry kitchen (hotel bakery or F&B industry)
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques baking methods and dessert presentation
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good understanding of food hygiene safety and kitchen standards
- Team player with good discipline and attention to detail
- Willing to work shifts weekends and public holidays if needed.
Salary Range: Up to RM4k
Location: Iskandar Puteri Johor
