Job Description
- Prepare and produce bakery products such as bread buns rolls loaf bread and other dough-based items according to standard recipes
- Handle full bakery production process including mixing kneading proofing shaping baking and cooling
- Monitor fermentation dough consistency proofing time and baking conditions to ensure consistent product quality
- Ensure all bakery products meet required standards in taste texture weight and appearance
- Maintain cleanliness hygiene and sanitation of bakery workstation and equipment in compliance with GMP/HACCP standards
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers ovens proofers and dough sheeters safely and properly
- Manage ingredient preparation stock usage and minimize wastage
- Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished bakery products
- Assist in daily production planning and ensure smooth workflow in bakery section
- Guide and supervise junior bakery staff or assistants when required
- Work closely with senior chefs to maintain production efficiency and consistency
- Perform any other bakery-related duties assigned by management
Job Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Bakery Baking Science or Culinary Arts
- At least 24 years of experience in bakery production (industrial bakery hotel or central kitchen)
- Strong knowledge of bread production techniques and dough handling
- Understanding of fermentation yeast activity and baking processes
- Knowledge of food hygiene safety standards and GMP/HACCP practices
- Able to work in a production-based fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork discipline and attention to detail
- Willing to work shifts weekends and public holidays if needed.
Salary Range: Up to RM4k
