Summary:
Worcester City Council is seeking a proactive and highly organized PA to lead a critical digital transformation project within Governance Services. This role is a blend of physical archival work and technical data management. You will be responsible for transitioning physical personnel records into a streamlined electronic format while providing essential administrative support to the HR and Payroll teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of paper-based files to electronic systems. This includes sorting scanning and accurately filing documents into relevant personal folders.
- Assign and track electronic removal/retention dates for scanned documents in accordance with GDPR and Council policies.
- Assist the broader HR team with general administrative duties including data entry into HR systems and responding to routine inquiries.
- Coordinate with the Governance Services team to ensure project timelines are met and provide regular updates on scanning progress.
- Maintain absolute discretion while handling sensitive personal data and payroll information.
Essentials:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and experience navigating specialized HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Proven experience working in a role that handles sensitive or protected information (e.g. HR Legal or Medical records).
- Prior experience in an Admin Clerical or PA role preferably within a local government or public sector setting.
