About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven CFO to take full ownership of the finance function at PPR Ventures (including the HoldCo and their PortCos).

This is a hands-on high-impact leadership role for someone who has previously operated at CFO level and is comfortable acting as the ultimate financial owner for a portfolio of growing start-up companies across different industries. Current focus will be centered around 1-2 portfolio companies with ultimate ownership for the wider portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Ownership

Act as CFO / ultimate financial owner for PPR Ventures (HoldCo level) Define and execute financial strategy aligned with portfolio company growth Serve as key ultimate financial owner to the shareholders

Accounting & Financial Operations

Lead and develop the finance team (currently 1 Senior Accountant and 12 Junior Accountants) including hiring mentoring and performance management Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities

Own and oversee monthly quarterly and annual closing processes

Establish efficient and scalable accounting processes for ongoing operations Finance & Controlling

Define and track KPIs across portfolio companies and at HoldCo level Implement and oversee management reporting and financial dashboards Lead budgeting forecasting and cash flow management across the group Provide financial insights and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making

Compliance & Governance

Ensure full compliance with international financial regulations across all entities Maintain and strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks

Legal & Corporate Structure Oversight

Oversee external partners including tax advisors auditors legal advisors and accounting service providers

Ensure proper legal and financial structuring of entities within the group Support and monitor tax compliance and structuring topics in collaboration with advisors

Processes Systems & Scalability

Build and optimize finance processes systems and internal controls across the group Establish scalable and structured reporting frameworks suitable for a growing multi-entity environment

Drive process improvements and AI automation to increase efficiency and data quality Facilitate long-term consolidation structures across multiple legal entities

Due Diligence & Strategic Projects

Support and lead financial and accounting due diligence (DD) as part of PPR Ventures M&A strategy

Support post-merger integration (PMI) including financial structuring and reporting alignment

Contribute to strategic finance initiatives across the portfolio

What We Are Looking For

Prior roles as CFO / Senior Finance Director with 8-12 years of professional experience

Strong track record and prior experience as Regional or Group CFO (at least 3 years) as the ultimate owner managing multiple companies/subsidiaries or countries including different tax jurisdictions (5)

Experience in entrepreneurial / high-growth setups (e.g. Series A start-ups scale-ups venture builder PE portfolio level agency roles)

Track record of building finance functions and processes

Deep knowledge of accounting reporting and consolidation

Highly independent structured and hands-on mindset

Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners Prior experience with financial & accounting due diligence (not a must) Strong ownership mentality and execution focus

Sector agnostic - operations-intensive healthcare maritime recruiting vertical experience a positive

Languages: English required; German a plus
