Job Summary
The Project Coordination Technician assists project teams in all aspects of the project delivery process including space planning construction project delivery document management and the ability to follow policies and procedures with the proven ability to coordinate both small to large scale construction projects.
The Project Coordinator Technician works on specified projects in conjunction with other team members and requires a focus on enhanced communication skills as daily responsibilities include engagement with end users and vendors.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Building Science Architectural Design Engineering or other construction related education from a recognized institution.
- Two (2) years related work experience in a construction engineering or architectural design office. Experience in coordinating civil projects preferred.
- Experience working on a variety of projects; demonstrated versatility is an asset.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/ or Revit; knowledge of Smartsheet an asset. Ability working with applications using Windows Microsoft Office.
- Possesses a foundational knowledge of civil projects and workflows; capable of taking overactive projects with demanding timelines budget and construction schedules.
- Experience engaging with external companies and professional service providers.
- Ability to schedule coordinate and oversee efficient delivery of a variety of space planning and building construction projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety in workplace.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and to provide service to employees and applicants in a professional respectful positive and courteous manner.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide and diverse community including administrators students faculty employees contractors inspectors engineers and architects.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive effective working relationships in a team environment at all times.
- Proven organizational skills and an ability to work independently with frequent interruptions.
