Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Cardiology Cath Lab Technologist with strong Invasive Cardiology and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience to support a high-performing cardiovascular team. This role is responsible for assisting physicians during complex diagnostic and interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and high-quality care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in all aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures including scrubbing circulating monitoring and hemodynamic recording
• Operate interventional equipment and imaging systems in accordance with established protocols
• Provide direct patient care before during and after procedures ensuring safety and comfort
• Educate patients on procedures to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields including setup and breakdown of procedural trays
• Assist with administration of contrast media
• Transfer patients safely between beds stretchers and procedure tables
• Perform routine equipment checks maintenance and cleaning
• Maintain department inventory and supplies
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training

Procedural Experience Required

Endovascular & Diagnostic Procedures:

• Aortogram (LE UE Visceral)
• Carotid studies
• AV fistula procedures
• Peripheral venograms

Interventional Procedures:

• Embolization
• IVC filter placement
• Thrombolysis (Lytics)
• Dialysis access procedures
• Quinton catheter placement
• TIPS procedures
• PICC line placement
• Biopsies

Non-Vascular Procedures:

• Drain placements
• G/J tube procedures
• Nephrostomy (kidney tubes)
• Biliary interventions

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following experience/credential pathways:

Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

• Associates degree in Cardiovascular Technology OR
• Associates degree 3 years recent Cath Lab experience
• RCIS Certification (required)
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications
• IABP certification/course

Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist

• 5 years recent EP experience
  OR
• Any two: CI VI or RCIS certifications
• BLS ACLS and IABP required

Special Procedures Technologist (Levels IIII)

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT)
• ARRT registered and licensed (if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years radiology or Cath Lab/IR experience
• Advanced certifications (RCIS/CI/VI) or additional experience required for higher levels
• EP training required for EP-focused roles
• BLS ACLS and IABP required
