As Marylands largest childrens hospital and the only state-designated trauma service and burn unit for pediatric patients Johns Hopkins Childrens Center has more than 92000 patient visits and nearly 9000 admissions each year. It has recognized centers of excellence in dozens of pediatric subspecialties including allergy cardiology cystic fibrosis gastroenterology nephrology neurology neurosurgery oncologypulmonary and transplantation.
We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our 20-bed Pediatric Acute Care unit that enjoys a collaborative culture and strong team environment. This leadership role is supported by multiple Lead Clinical Nurses and offers the opportunity to drive excellence in patient care.
What you will do:
The Nurse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care. This role is responsible for achieving unit departmental and organizational goals through effective management of clinical operations staff development and performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for a 20-bed pediatric acute care unit
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork engagement and professional growth
- Manage systems of patient care delivery to ensure quality safety and efficiency
- Direct fiscal operations including budgeting and resource allocation
- Communicate effectively with leadership peers and staff
- Ensure team members have timely accurate information to perform their roles successfully

Who should apply:
- Masters of Science degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. * Applicants without the required degree may be considered per Nursing guidelines.
- Requires five years of experience as registered nurse including 3-5 years with leadership and/or management responsibilities.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required.
Salary Range: Minimum 56.34/hour - Maximum 87.32/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
