NEC X is the Silicon Valley-based venture studio and open innovation arm of NEC Corporation. Located in Palo Alto CA NEC X drives startup creation corporate venture investment and strategic partnerships that connect the Silicon Valley ecosystem with NECs global technology assets.

As a pivotal member of the NEC X team the Investment Strategy VP will drive the strategic expansion of NECs global investment capabilities and presence within the Silicon Valley ecosystem. This role bridges the gap between Tokyos corporate strategy and the worlds most dynamic startup environment focusing on fund architecture strategic networking and executive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in venture capital startup acceleration or corporate venture
• Deep knowledge of the Silicon Valley startup ecosystem and VC fund landscape
• Strong network across VCs founders and corporate innovation leaders
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable working across US and Japan business cultures
• Bachelors degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position is $148000 to $193000; depending upon the selected candidates relevant experience the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Companys bonus/incentive program(s).
