Shift: Evening/Night (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) rotating days
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Position Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. This role involves advanced airway management ventilator support and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions
- Initiate monitor and wean ventilatory support using lung-protective strategies
- Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and sputum collection
- Interpret ABG results and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Conduct bedside spirometry and capnography
- Assist with intubations bronchoscopies and conscious sedation procedures
- Administer oxygen therapy Heliox and aerosolized medications
- Manage artificial airways including tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Monitor patients during intra-hospital and inter-facility transport
- Participate in code blue events rapid response teams and multidisciplinary rounds
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper billing/charge reconciliation
- Train and precept staff and students as needed
- Maintain respiratory equipment and ensure proper functionality
- Provide care to neonatal and pediatric populations as required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
Certifications & Licensure
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
