Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations during an electronic medical record (EMR) transition. This role involves ensuring safe effective and compliant medication therapy management while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Prepare and dispense medications including IV admixtures chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
Monitor drug therapy for interactions contraindications and proper dosing
Perform pharmacokinetic dosing in accordance with hospital protocols
Review culture and sensitivity reports to optimize antimicrobial therapy
Provide clinical consultation and recommendations to physicians and healthcare staff
Document clinical interventions and pharmacy activities accurately
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
Support emergency/code response teams as needed
Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations
Assist with EMR transition activities and workflow optimization
Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist license in the state of Colorado
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (minimum BS in Pharmacy)
Experience with Epic EMR system
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Influenza vaccination (required)
Minimum of 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience
