Physician Employer Health Centers

• Communicate with the patient in a professional manner explaining the procedure and addressing patient questions or concerns.
• Obtain health history and perform examinations
• Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment
• Prescribe medication in accordance with Indiana statute and professional guidelines
• Perform procedures in accordance with professional credentialing
• Arrange referral for patients requiring services outside of the scope of specialty area including transfer to inpatient care
• Review In-Basket each work day and addresses time sensitive patient information with appropriate urgency.
• Initiate coverage of assignments and ensures continuity of care prior to anticipated absences
• Complies with Riverview Health medical staff bylaws applicable requirements policies and procedures and Infection Control plan.
• Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested
• Actively support and participates in all quality of care performance improvement and patient safety activities
• Actively support achievement of identified performance and quality metrics including but limited to cycle time capacity utilization no show rates missed opportunities and patients per hour.
• Support patient experience and customer services initiatives uses AIDET and ensure all patient interactions are professional
• Accurately and consistently complete and attest notes from patient visits sign and close encounter within defined time frames.

• Provide medical direction and medical management of the Employer Health Centers.
• Provide medical direction to the Sapphire Health Plan.
• Provide such supervision management and oversight to the Employer Health Centersto ensure that professional services rendered meet or exceed accepted standards of care including accreditation standards as applicable.
• Provide input into the development implementation and evaluation of policies procedures and protocols related to the Employer Health Centers.
• Assist in developing efficient operations of the Employer Health Centersand easy access for patients and the ease of consultations for Employer Health Center services as requested.
• Respond to requests for recommendations from Riverview Health regarding the number and types of employees necessary in the Employer Health Centersand suggested qualifications in conformity with Riverview Healths policies and practices.
• Facilitate the efficient operation of the Employer Health Centerssuch that they meet the needs of patients and employees of the Employer Health Centersand Riverview Health and in accordance with such standards of quality as may from time to time be established by Riverview Health.
• Design and deliver education and training programs for the members of Riverview Health staff as appropriate.
• Provide reasonable general education the community as part of Riverview Healths efforts to maintain its role as a leader in serving the health care needs of the area.
• Establish and maintain high quality professional standards in the performance of Services.
• Participate in the preparation in conjunction with Riverview Health of planning for the Employer Health Centersfor each fiscal year which shall include contractual agreements supplies equipment remodeling and a list the goals and objectives of the Employer Health Centersfor the ensuing year.
• Recommend appropriate equipment and supplies as determined by Medical Director and Riverview Health to be necessary or desirable for the Employer Health Centers; provided however all purchases shall be made through Riverview Healths administration.

• Graduate from a medical school recognized or approved by the Medical Licensing Board

• 5 years of Family Medicine experience required
• Previous leadership experience preferred

• Physician license valid to practice in the state of Indiana
• Controlled Substance Registry license in the state of Indiana
• DEA license
