Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist (CPT I) to join a fast-paced outpatient laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have strong venipuncture skills excellent patient interaction abilities and prior experience working in outpatient environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow lab protocols
- Provide excellent patient care and communication
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Float to other units or locations as needed
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience
- Outpatient experience required
- Strong venipuncture and specimen handling skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
Qualifications:
- CPT I (Certified Phlebotomy Technician I) Required
- BLS Certification Required
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a large healthcare system or similar facility
