Field Engineer
Job Summary
Field Engineer (Construction) - Pittsburgh and Erie PA Regions
The Lindy Group is hiring Field Engineers to support our growing field operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals in civil engineering or construction management looking to gain hands-on experience in heavy civil asphalt and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret plans and specifications to support field crews
- Track daily production labor equipment and material costs
- Prepare daily reports and analyze project performance vs. budget
- Perform quantity takeoffs and monitor project progress
- Assist with project documentation schedules and subcontractor coordination
- Create sketches and support construction phasing and planning
- Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced field environment
- Experience with PennDOT or Turnpike projects is a plus
