Hours: 7:20 AM 3:30 PM (MonFri)
Guaranteed Hours: 35 per week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Special Education Teacher Middle Schoolfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Plainfield NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to middle school students (caseload 58 students) with special education needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic and behavioral records
• Collaborate with general education staff administrators and support teams
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Maintain classroom structure and a positive learning environment
• Ensure compliance with NJ DOE special education requirements

Qualifications:

Required Experience & Education:

• Active NJ DOE Students with Disabilities Certification (Required)
• Valid NJ DOE Instructional Teaching License (Required)
• Special Education teaching experience preferred
• Experience managing small caseloads (58 students preferred)

Required Skills:

• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities
• Ability to work with diverse student populations
