Job Summary
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in procurement supporting operational environments (e.g. data centers infrastructure manufacturing or similar) and is comfortable operating both strategically and tactically.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with operational and business goals
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFx supplier evaluation negotiation and contracting
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value beyond price (efficiency quality risk reduction)
Operations Support
- Partner closely with operations teams to understand demand timelines and service requirements
- Support procurement for operational categories such as infrastructure equipment maintenance services and related spend
- Ensure timely and reliable support to meet operational needs
Project Management
- Lead and manage end-to-end procurement projects including sourcing initiatives vendor onboarding and offshore transitions ensuring delivery against timelines scope and business objectives
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders manage risks and dependencies and provide clear tracking and reporting to ensure successful execution and continuous improvement
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Build and manage relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Establish supplier performance metrics and drive accountability
- Act as a trusted advisor to operations leadership
Contracting & Commercial Management
- Lead contract negotiations including pricing SLAs and commercial terms
- Ensure contracts align with risk compliance and business requirements
- Monitor contract performance and manage renewals
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and scalability
- Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making
- Support implementation of procurement tools and best practices
Qualifications
Required
- 812 years of procurement/sourcing experience
- Strong experience supporting operations-focused procurement
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end sourcing and supplier negotiations
- Experience working in fast-paced cross-functional environments
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
Preferred
- Experience in data center infrastructure manufacturing or similar operational environments
- Familiarity with categories such as:
- Data center equipment (electrical mechanical equipment)
- Facilities
- Technical services or infrastructure vendors
- Experience with procurement systems
