We are seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting trimming and preparing meat products according to company standards while maintaining high levels of quality safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut trim and prepare meat (beef pork poultry etc.)
- Debone portion and process meat products
- Operate knives saws grinders and other equipment
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products
- Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety standards (HACCP)
- Package label and display products as required
- Monitor product quality and freshness
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation
- Provide customer service (if in retail setting)
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and quality
- Reliable and team-oriented
Working Conditions:
- Cold environment (meat processing or retail setting)
