Job Description: Cambridge Specialty Company Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to join our team in Berlin Connecticut. This role is responsible for setting up operating and optimizing CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components in accordance with engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge a commitment to quality and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis 4-axis or 5-axis as applicable)
• Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and work instructions
• Install tooling fixtures and workholding devices
• Load materials and ensure proper alignment and setup
• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to ensure tolerances are met
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers height gauges etc.)
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering or programming teams
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain equipment in good working order
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred
• 2 years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of milling operations tooling feeds and speeds and materials
• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience with CNC controls
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery noise and metalworking fluids
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times on the shop floor
