Lead RN – Infusion Center & Wellness Clinic Full Time
Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead RN supports daily operations of the Infusion Center and Wellness Clinic under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager in collaboration with the Heart Failure Program Clinician. This is a working clinical role that combines direct patient care with real-time operational support and program development to promote efficient patient flow appropriate staffing alignment and consistency with established workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides direct patient care in the Infusion Center and Wellness Clinic
- Supports coordination of patient flow staff assignments and schedule alignment
- Assists in maintaining alignment of schedules with staffing volume and capacity
- Supports efficient patient throughput and timely chair/room utilization
- Promotes consistency with established clinical and operational workflows
- Collaborates with the Clinical Nurse Manager regarding daily operations staffing needs and workflow considerations
- Serves as a resource to nursing and support staff during daily operations
- Supports a team-based collaborative work environment across both departments
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS:
- Supports service line development of the Infusion Center through collaboration on new therapies expansion of patient populations and advancement of clinical programs
- Supports ongoing development and advancement of the Heart Failure Program including collaboration with the CardioMEMS program
- Contributes to growth and enhancement of clinical programs within the Infusion Center and Wellness Clinic
- Demonstrates ability to function effectively in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment with competing priorities
- Exercises sound judgment and adaptability in dynamic clinical and operational situations
- Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
- Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary teams providers and staff
- Brings forward ideas and supports continuous improvement of workflows and processes
- Serves as a positive role model for staff promoting accountability professionalism and teamwork
- Supports a culture of collaboration engagement and professional growth across the team
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Current Connecticut RN license required
- BSN required
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience required
- Infusion or outpatient experience required
- Previous charge lead or supervisory experience required
Certifications:
- BLS required
- ACLS required
POSITION DETAILS:
- Full-time weekday position
- No weekends or holidays
- Combination of clinical and operational responsibilities
