Job Summary
Hourly Range: $42.00 - $65.00 / $90000 - $ 135000 (based on education and experience)
Relocation Allowance: Up to $5000 (will be discussed further during interview)
Permanent Placement Fee: 18%
Admin fee 15% running through calendar year 2025
DIRECTOR HEALTH INFORMATION MGMT
Position Summary: Provides leadership direction and administration of all aspects of the health information management Department within the SRHC system. Responsible for record processing and completion transmission indexing abstracting timeliness and accuracy of acute and ambulatory coding filing storage trauma registry transcription retrieval release of information suspension process with physicians and maintenance of systems processes. Responsible for the overall management of the health information department activity to include establishment and compliance with policies for the health information function. Represents the health center in all activities related to areas of responsibility. Maintains active communication with health center leadership and staff.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
- Bachelors Degree in Health Information Science or related field or a plan to complete Bachelors degree REQUIRED
- Five years management /supervisory experience REQUIRED
- Five years medical coding experience REQUIRED
- Experience with HIPAA regulations preferred PREFERRED
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) REQUIRED
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred HIGHLY PREFFERED
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
- Kansas
