MTK Healthcare is actively looking for a Retail Pharmacist for an exciting contract opportunity with Modoc Medical Center in Alturas CA.
POSITION DETAILS: -
Job Title: Retail Pharmacist
Facility: Modoc Medical Center
Location: Alturas California
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: 8 Hours Monday Friday
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Retail Pharmacy Manager you will oversee all aspects of retail pharmacy operations including drug procurement dispensing compliance and patient counseling while ensuring adherence to all state and federal regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dispense and compound medications accurately
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and compliance
- Counsel patients on drug usage side effects and interactions
- Supervise pharmacy staff and maintain workflow efficiency
- Ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations
- Manage inventory billing systems and pharmacy records
- Handle third-party prescription issues and rejections
- Maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active California Pharmacist License (Mandatory)
- Bachelors or Pharm.D. from an accredited pharmacy school
- BLS Certification required
- New graduates with a valid license are welcome (less than 1 year experience accepted)
- Covid Vaccination Report card
Driver License copy - Two Professional References (Manager or Supervisor)
