Software Development Engineer in Test

We are hiring on behalf of our client a global innovator in fitness and wellness technology. Their mission is to empower people to live fit strong long and happy lives by delivering integrated experiences to millions of members anytime anywhere.

They are now looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join the Quality Engineering team working on award-winning connected fitness products used by millions of people worldwide.

In this role you will take ownership of product quality and collaborate closely with software and hardware engineers as well as product management to ensure exceptional user experiences. You will foster a strong quality-first mindset within the teams drive improvements in test automation and reliability and support best practices in testing and maintainability across a diverse ecosystem of connected devices and platforms.

Projects you may work on:

• Connected fitness devices (Android-based) with embedded software and hardware integration
• Web and backend platforms supporting streaming user experiences and device integrations.

Recruitment process:

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain automated tests for mobile web and/or backend systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and improve automation across different testing levels.
• Execute tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and consistent releases.
• Validate integrations with backend services and REST APIs.
• Contribute to improving testing practices reliability and maintainability within the team.

Requirements:

• 2 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Kotlin Java Python JavaScript).
• Experience testing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions CircleCI).
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing tasks.

Nice to have

• Mobile automation experience (Appium Espresso)
• Experience with web automation frameworks (Playwright Cypress Selenium)
• Visual or screenshot testing experience
