Mechanical Technician We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician with strong maintenance planning and mechanical aptitude to support equipment installation qualification and ongoing reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in mechanical systems production equipment and sewing machine rebuilds with the ability to document processes train others and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform initial IQ/OQ checks to verify proper equipment installation and orientation.

Inspect mechanical aspects of equipment including alignment torque tests guards and free-moving parts.

Develop and document centerlines AM/PM maintenance plans and CILs.
-
Create detailed rebuild instructions for equipment.
-
Ensure compliance with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) requirements and safe work practices around energized equipment.
-
Support production packaging and conveying systems with mechanical troubleshooting.
-
Rebuild high-speed sewing machines following technical standards and work instructions.
-
Troubleshoot sewing defects identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
-
Train and coach team members on rebuild processes centerlines and equipment settings.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement by updating standards and enhancing rebuild procedures.

Must-Have Technical Skills -
10 years of high-speed sewing machine rebuild experience

Ability to follow work instructions and standards to tear down/rebuild complex machinery

Troubleshooting sewing defects and mechanical issues

Coaching and training others on rebuilds and centerlines
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and/or engineering background
Nice-to-Have Skills -
Experience setting up equipment to centerline and assessing production line setups

Knowledge of alignment torque tests tensions and mechanical guards

Training and qualification of new resources in sewing machine rebuilds

Ability to troubleshoot production sewing machines for defects and outages
