JOB TITLE: Tool Design Engineer
LOCATION: PalmdaleCA
PAY RATE: $17-110/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design fabricate and implement tooling and fixtures.

• Develop detailed CAD models and drawings using CATIA V5.

• Provide shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.

• Support tooling vendors during fabrication and ensure successful integration into production.

• Maintain tooling configuration control throughout the lifecycle.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling issues.

• Act as a technical checker for tool designs from internal teams and vendors.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance (within 5 years) or CE enrollment.

• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) experience.

• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings schematics and specifications.

• Ability to interpret metrology data.

• Experience with CATIA V5.

• Tool design and fabrication support experience.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
