Summary:

• Set up and operate autoclaves and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond metallic and non-metallic aircraft parts and assemblies.

• Assist in selecting parts and assemblies for simultaneous bonding based on processing requirements and autoclave capacity.

• Load and position racks tools and assemblies within autoclaves.

• Connect thermocouples and vacuum lines to tool ports and internal fittings.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area; support FOD and 5S programs; comply with all safety regulations.

• Retrieve lay-up tools from storage and prepare/release them for bond room operations.

• Assist with breakdown and cleaning of tools after curing.

• Store cleaned tools in designated areas.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of one (1) year of related or autoclave operational experience.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Basic understanding of manufacturing procedures and standard shop math.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to work any shift.

• Valid drivers license required (to obtain GAC cart and forklift certification).

• Basic operational knowledge of overhead cranes forklifts electric tow mules and related equipment.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-Stamp within 12 months of hire.

• Understanding of approved processes associated with autoclave operations.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
