Software Development Engineer, Ring Agent Platforms

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to build and deliver features for a multi-agent AI platform. This platform enables organizations to design compose and deploy autonomous AI agents that collaborate with each other and with humans to execute complex workflows from code generation and analysis to decision-making and task orchestration across enterprise systems.
The work sits at the frontier of agentic AI: multi-agent coordination tool use and function calling retrieval-augmented generation conversational interfaces and scalable job execution. The underlying architecture is cloud-native and polyglot spanning real-time APIs event-driven compute analytics pipelines and integrations with large language models. The platform is built to be modular agents are composed from reusable skills and tooling making it possible for teams across the organization to create share and evolve intelligent automation without starting from scratch.

Key job responsibilities
As an SDE on the team you will design implement test and operate platform components that power agent workflows in production. You will collaborate with senior engineers applied scientists and product partners to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. About the team
The Data and Agents Organization spans data engineering business intelligence applied science and agentic AI. The org is structured into three primary groups: one focused on core data platforms tooling and pipeline infrastructure; another focused on AI/ML models business analytics shared data models product analytics and strategic science initiatives; and a third focused on building a multi-agent AI platform that enables teams to compose deploy and orchestrate autonomous AI agents at scale. Capacity is balanced across direct business support strategic new development and operational health.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Familiarity with at least one agentic AI development IDE
- Exposure to Strands Agents Amazon Bedrock or Bedrock AgentCore
- Awareness of multi-agent patterns (swarm graph workflow) and the A2A protocol
- Interest in or exposure to the evaluation of LLMs and AI agents
- Awareness of responsible AI practices and the use of guardrails
- Exposure to observability and debugging within AI platforms

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
