Job Summary
The Facilities Asset Manager is a strategic lead responsible for the independent development and management of technical architecture and capital proposal planning for a 1100 location national portfolio. This position exercises high-level discretion in managing the Single Source of Truth for all physical assets and serves as the principal architect for the portfolios long-term capital strategy proposals
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the comprehensive technical advisory framework used by Regional Business Managers to execute multi-million-dollar facility investment decisions. Evaluate and interpret complex facility data to formulate independent recommendations for client-side executive leadership
- Authorize and maintain the definitive asset registry and data governance standards for the national footprint. Strategize the long-term lifecycle of major systems utilizing predictive modeling and the Facility Condition Index (FCI) to independently determine replacement priorities and mitigate operational risk
- Design and implement standardized Preventive Maintenance (PM) protocols and technical specifications; mandate these standards across the decentralized Facility Management team. Exercise independent judgment in auditing maintenance performance to ensure adherence to corporate safety quality and brand integrity
- Lead and manage the multi-year Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning process independently prioritizing site renovations rebranding and mechanical replacements based on financial ROI and risk assessment. Formulate cost-saving strategies by identifying trends in portfolio-scale data and negotiating the technical parameters of national service contracts
- Develop and oversee a centralized governance framework for permits licenses and safety inspections to ensure 100% regulatory alignment. Determine corrective action plans for systemic compliance risks and coordinate directly with leadership to execute these improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Construction Management Engineering or a related field preferred. OR In lieu of a degree 5 years of progressive high-level experience in multi-site facilities construction or asset management will be considered
- 5 years of specific experience in multi-site facilities or asset management ideally within high-volume retail education or hospitality sectors
- Ability to read analyze and interpret complex facility data technical specifications and national service contracts. Ability to write comprehensive technical advisory frameworks strategic capital plans and executive-level business cases. Ability to effectively present information negotiate and confidently respond to questions from client-side executive leadership and regional management teams
- Expert proficiency in CMMS/IWMS platforms (e.g. ServiceChannel Brightly Corrigo) and financial modeling for capital budgeting

Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will primarily operate in a remote home-office setting where the noise level is usually quiet. Additionally this position requires periodic travel (including commercial flights and driving) to various Learning Care Group schools to participate in physical site inspections. During these field visits the employee may navigate active early education environments mechanical rooms and outdoor property areas subject to varying weather conditions.
