Server (AM)

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is seeking aPart-Time AM Server to join our Food & Beverage team.

Located in the heart of Portlands historic Old Port District our property is a proud Historic Hotel of America known for exceptional guest service timeless charm and a welcoming team environment.

This is a year-round position and is not eligible for J1 or H-2B sponsorship.

Position Summary

The AM Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by professionally greeting them taking food and beverage orders serving meals efficiently and ensuring a positive dining experience.

This role is ideal for someone who is friendly team-oriented and thrives in a guest-facing hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
• Monitor order timing and ensure prompt accurate service
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
• Assist with opening closing and side work duties
• Restock service items throughout the shift
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outlet
• Support fellow servers hosts food runners and supervisors
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate to management when needed
• Follow all Maine liquor laws and hotel safety procedures
• Assist with training new team members as needed

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant hotel or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Reliable punctual and professional demeanor
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• TIPS Certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
