Warehouse worker Driver in training

Safety-Kleen Canada Nepean Ontario is looking for a Warehouse worker / Driver in training to join its safety-conscious team! The Driver in Training is responsible for being trained on how to transport hazardous waste (box truck tank van and/or roll-off dump truck) from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility;

They will be required to follow established procedures to maintain a safe workplace.

• Responsible for learning how to transport hazardous waste (tank van and/or roll-off dump trailer) from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of
• Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste (HAZMAT) regulations; communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily times and for learning to ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e. drums are properly segregated and loaded etc.); Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
• Responsible for learning the proper placarding of vehicle to meet Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations.
• Responsible for learning how to maintain daily logs worksheets timecard expense reports dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.
• Responsible for learning to maintain and clean assigned Company equipment as well as ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order.
• May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.

• Able to use Mobile Computer
• Able to work with little if no direct supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work
• Strong mechanical ability
• Able to make real-time decisions in the field
