Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with autism spectrum disorders. The role focuses on delivering individualized instruction in a structured and supportive classroom environment while promoting academic behavioral and social development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with autism
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student academic and behavioral needs
- Implement evidence-based teaching and behavioral intervention strategies
- Monitor and document student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers therapists and support staff
- Manage classroom behavior using structured routines and positive reinforcement
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual learning needs
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Ensure compliance with special education regulations and policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience or endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred
- Experience working with elementary or special education students preferred

- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Behavioral management techniques for autism spectrum support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
