Sr. Production Planner, Amazon Robotics

Job Summary
At the core of the Production Planner role is driving end-to-end planning excellence through the strategic implementation of advanced supply chain planning technology and optimized workflows. This leader serves as a subject matter expert guiding the technical transition from legacy systems to a modern integrated planning platform. They will oversee the execution of critical planning processes including production scheduling material requirements planning capacity planning and inventory optimization. The Production Planner partners cross-functionally to streamline planning processes eliminate manual tasks and enhance planning capabilities to improve customer service reduce costs and optimize working capital. They will leverage data analytics and automation to generate more realistic and achievable plans that align with the companys strategic objectives.
Key job responsibilities
- Create and maintain production schedules considering equipment labor and material constraints
- Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize manufacturing throughput
- Develop and maintain short-term medium-term and long-term capacity models
- Identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks through constraint analysis and simulation
- Monitor and manage inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimize working capital
- Participate in S&OP process to align supply plans with demand forecasts
- Release and manage work orders through their complete lifecycle
- Set-up and maintain Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules
- Leverage planning systems and analytics to generate optimized supply plans
- Develop capacity modeling tools using SQL Python and visualization platforms
- Monitor KPIs including schedule adherence inventory turns and supplier delivery
- Collaborate with manufacturing procurement and logistics on supply plan execution
- Partner with engineering on routings and resource rates for capacity planning
- Communicate supply-related risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders
- Support new product introduction projects for supply planning requirements

Our diverse team of engineers come from all over the world to design test and build our dynamic fleet of robots and mechatronic systems. Having our offices labs test floors and factories all co-located means that we can design the hardware write the code test build and watch it all come to life. This allows us to innovate quickly and on limitless ideas. Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility artificial intelligence and machine learning manipulation simulation robotic management software and predictive analytics.
- Bachelors degree or 5 years of professional or military experience
- Knowledge of materials management processes including inventory management purchasing warehouse management and material requirements planning
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis or experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
- Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
