Structural Design Engineer

Roughan & ODonovan (ROD) is looking to recruit a structural design engineer with two to five years relevant experience for a permanent position within our expanding buildings team in Dublin

The role

You will be part of a team recognised for delivering high quality cost-effective and sustainable building projects across a range of sectorsincluding residential healthcare education and commercial.

Your key duties will include:

• structural design

• liaison withclients design teams and contractors

• site monitoring

• project management

• structural surveys and reports

• site development design

Essential

• Honours degree in structural or civil engineering(Level 8 qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)

• Two to five years postgraduate experience with a structural design consultancy working on buildings-related projects

• Strong safety ethic

• Good organisational skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

• Excellent attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Eagerness to learn and develop skills

• Ability to work within a team or on your own under guidance

• Fluency or a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English

• Full and clean driving licence

Desirable

• Experience of MasterSeries or similar structural design and analysis software

• Knowledge of AutoCAD

• Knowledge or experience of BIM/REVIT

• Knowledge and experience of design in accordance with Eurocodes for concrete steel masonry timber and foundations
