Senior UX Designer (D2C)

Location: One York Street Toronto (Downtown) - Hybrid work model - In-office presence 2 days per week.

Sun Life is looking for aSenior UX Designer (D2C)to join our Experience Design (XD) will take ownership in driving UX strategy leveraging strong perspectives on design excellence to influence project direction and champion human-centered design practices across the organization.

Youwillsupport Sun Lifes Prospr business-revolutionizing how Canadians access insurance and wealth solutions by building a platform that lets people buy products the way they want to: online in minutes or virtually via a team of trusted licensed Advisors.Were not playing it safe. Were building with AI and creating omnichannel experiencesat the speed customers now expect.

What do you need to succeed

• 5 years of experience in user-centered digital design and user experience.
• Strong digital commerce experience working in a client acquisition-based funnel (D2C)
• University degree or certification in User Experience or equivalent work experience.
• UX portfolio demonstrating impactful customer experiences including experience developing digital products from initial concept through to implementation.
• Strong UI / visual design acumen with the ability to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
• Demonstrated experience with user research methods such as A/B concept and usability testing and ability to interpret and synthesize findings.
• Proficiency with current design and collaboration tools such as Figma Jira etc.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. AODA WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
• Experience delivering design in agile cross-functional environments.

• Startup DNAwith an ability to work efficiently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate the value of design choices to key stakeholders.
• Strong presentation skills with an ability to advocate for user needs based on qualitative feedback and quantitative data.
• Deep knowledge of design systems that consistently scale across platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging design trends technologies and AI-driven design tools with experience applying these innovations to enhance user experiences.
• Strong sense of ownership and proactively advocates for end users.
