Quality Control Technician- Fuel Facility

Role Purpose

responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities

What you will be doing:

• Hydraulic pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company customer government and industry standards
• Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills releases overfills and product contamination
• Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company customer industry local state and federal safe work policies/procedures
• Makes required log entries of fuel transactions quality control and maintenance
• Comply with the stations attendance/tardiness standards
• Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

• Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
• Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
• Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.

What we are looking for:

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Drivers License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to proficiently read write and speak English
• Able to read and understand Hydraulic pneumatic and electrical reports.
• Must be able to perform preventative maintenance of equipment to include minor pump and valve repairs pump oil changes pump greasing and miscellaneous maintenance work.
• Must be computer literate
• Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
• Must possess and maintain a valid US drivers license
• Must pass all pre-employment testing including a color vision test and a drug test
• Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal
• Able to handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs
