Department Overview

The Neurodevelopmental Services Program is a part of the Mental Health Continuum at Childrens Minnesota. Neurodevelopmental Services is focused on providing assessment diagnosis and care for children with a variety of neurodevelopmental and medical conditions. The team is comprised of psychologists neuropsychologists and developmental behavioral pediatricians and we work closely with providers across the mental health continuum and with specialty medical providers throughout our organization. Neuropsychological assessment is provided across both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses and this role will be located primarily in Minneapolis.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate pediatric neuropsychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing assessment and diagnostic services for children and adolescents with a variety of neurodevelopmental neurological and psychological conditions. The neuropsychologist will complete comprehensive evaluations synthesize and interpret results and provide feedback and guidance to caregivers referring providers educational teams and other stakeholders. A primary focus of this position will be working closely with our Cancer and Blood Disorders program and Survivorship Clinic. This includes opportunities to follow patients from early childhood through young adulthood monitoring for treatment and late effects of treatment collaborating with members of the Cancer and Blood Disorders team and providing tailored recommendations to support children and their families through their treatment journey. This position also offers opportunities for participation in research with the Cancer and Blood Disorders team as well as opportunities for teaching and speaking to community groups.

Qualifications
oDoctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology (clinical school or other appropriate area of psychology) from an accredited institution.
oCompletion of an APA-accredited internship
oCompletion of a 2 year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology
oLicensed or license-eligible in Minnesota
oExperience with a wide range of pediatric populations and neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ADHD autism learning disabilities genetic or other medical conditions impacting development)
oStrong assessment diagnostic and report-writing skills
oExcellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
oBoard certification or eligibility in Clinical Neuropsychology
oExperience working in interdisciplinary or medical settings

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employees scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
