* 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
* 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Schedule: Sunday Monday Thursday Friday Saturday
Days Off: Tuesday and Wednesday
Pay Rate:$55.00 per hour
Duration: Contract Extension Possible
Conversion: Potential Full-Time Conversion Pending Headcount Approval
Employment Requirement:Candidate must be eligible to work for an indefinite duration without employment sponsorship limitations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a high-volume milk production facility. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance technicians ensuring equipment reliability and driving preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize plant efficiency.
This is a leadership role within a regulated food manufacturing environment requiring strong technical expertise across mechanical electrical and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical and refrigeration systems
- Perform and enforce Lockout/Tagout procedures as required
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and food safety regulations
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or improvements
- Partner with production teams to reduce downtime and protect schedules
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs
- Train and develop maintenance staff to ensure technical and safety competency
- Oversee spare parts inventory and support budget management
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance supervision experience
- Experience within a food production or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical electrical and refrigeration systems
- Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Flexibility to support shift work and emergency response situations
- Technical certification or maintenance-related degree preferred.
