Serve as a qualified and collaborative member of various school teams including but not limited to ET 504 and MTSS working to strengthen both students ability to learn and teachers ability to teach. Provide specialized expertise in mental health learning and behavior to support students in achieving academic social behavioral and emotional success.


  1. Provide thoughtful and comprehensive diagnostic services in the areas of intelligence behavior and adaptive skills for students with suspected disabilities. This includes conducting standardized assessments observations and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to better understand each childs unique strengths and challenges.
  2. Serve as a dedicated and collaborative member of school-based teams including ET MTSS and 504 working together to support student success.
  3. Partner with families by offering guidance support and practical strategies following evaluations helping parents feel empowered to support their childs growth both at home and in school.
  4. Clearly communicate assessment results and observations to support the IEP team in understanding each students needs identifying potential disabilities and determining appropriate services.
  5. Provide individual and group counseling to students navigating academic social emotional or behavioral challenges creating a safe space for growth and resilience.
  6. Collaborate closely with teachers to address learning and behavioral concerns helping to develop effective classroom strategies behavioral supports and accommodations that meet diverse student needs.
  7. Support the MTSS Team by offering insight and proactive pre-referral intervention strategies aimed at helping students succeed early.
  8. Act as a reliable liaison between student services and the school ensuring clear communication and continuity of care for students.
  9. Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Student Services with a continued commitment to student well-being and success.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:


CAGs in School Psychology from an accredited institution

Experience in psychological testing of children PK-12.

Experience in counseling students PK-12.

Skills in parent and teacher consultation.

License/Certificate/Certification:

RI Certification: School Psychologist PK-12

Technological and/or Technical Skills:

Technological proficiency in computer software including scoring software and programs Microsoft Office ASPEN and Google.

Communication Skills:


Capability of responding simultaneously to a variety of requests from internal colleagues maintaining sensitivity to needs of parents students and community members and ensuring overall satisfaction as a primary objective. Strong communications skills both verbal and written.

Planning Skills:


Ability to effectively plan and prioritize.

Strong organizational skills time-management skills and follow-through with tasks and promises.

Interpersonal and Problem solving skills:


Ability to interact with administration staff students and parents in an effective manner. Ability to
