Senior Associate, Training and Technical Assistance Manager

Job Summary
Synergy Enterprises Inc is looking for a Senior Associate Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Manager. The Sr. Associate TTA Manager is a federally designated key personnel position responsible for the planning coordination and delivery of all training and technical assistance activities conducted under the National Coalition Institute. The Sr. Associate TTA Manager reports to the Deputy Program Director to ensure that all TTA activities are delivered on schedule meet federal quality standards and are responsive to the documented needs of Drug-Free Communities (DFC)-funded and non-DFC coalitions nationwide. Job location is remote with ability to use an office and or meeting space when needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and execute the NCI annual TTA plan including scheduling sequencing and tracking all training events webinars coaching sessions and technical assistance activities across Tiers 1 2 and 3 of the NCI model. This includes coordinating with subject matter experts trainers and TA providers to ensure consistent content quality and on-time delivery.
- Manage workflows for individualized coalition TA including intake assignment progress tracking and follow-up documentation. The manager will ensure that TA records are maintained in a format compatible with program evaluation requirements and federal reporting obligations.
- Oversee the production and quality review of training materials including online modules toolkits guides and supplementary resources developed for distribution through the NCI Digital Knowledge Hub and Canvas learning management system. This includes coordinating with instructional design staff and subject matter experts to ensure that all materials reflect current evidence in substance use prevention science.
- Support or lead in-person and virtual learning events including Regional Learning Institutes national webinar series and biweekly office hours.
- Contribute to the TTA Advisory Board process including scheduling agenda development and documentation of recommendations. The manager will ensure that advisory input is incorporated into TTA planning and curriculum review cycles.
- Support the Program Director and Deputy Program Director in preparing federal progress reports including documentation of the number of unduplicated individuals and coalitions served training formats used and adherence to the approved one-year TTA plan.
- Be proficient and professional representing the TA Center and its various endeavors at virtual and in-person events meetings and via phone email and online meetings.
- Perform data tracking and analysis of ongoing activities for monthly reports.
Qualifications :
- A masters degree in public health social work education or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience managing training and technical assistance programs at the state or national level.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-component training systems that include both in-person and virtual delivery modalities.
- Experience working with federal grants including compliance with reporting requirements and federal performance monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with the Drug-Free Communities Support Program the Strategic Prevention Framework or comparable coalition capacity-building models.
- Experience producing or coordinating the development of training curricula and practitioner-facing resources.
- Advanced skill set with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and web-based databases.
- Skills in conducting virtual meetings on a variety of platforms (e.g. Zoom Adobe Connect).
- Self-starter with strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Excels at working in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Ability to work under pressure managing several complex assignments with multiple deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proofreading or copyediting experience is a plus.
Other job requirements:
- The position requires that individuals be available to work as necessary throughout the standard workweek
- The position requires the ability to travel including overnight (approximately 5-10% of time depending upon need).
