Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to support the design development and integration of advanced automation equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on precision mechanical design system integration and performance optimization to support high-quality reliable production processes.
This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for candidates with strong experience in manufacturing equipment design and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components fixtures and systems for automation equipment
- Utilize CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Inventor) to create detailed models and drawings
- Support the integration of mechanical systems into manufacturing processes
- Apply knowledge of motion control systems (servo motors stepper motors linear actuators) to develop high-precision solutions
- Conduct system analysis troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Perform simulations and data analysis to validate designs and improve system reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering manufacturing and suppliers
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
- Design specifications
- Technical reports
- Validation and testing protocols
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Mechatronic Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering environments
- Experience in design and installation of production equipment
Required Skills
- Strong foundation in mechanical and automation engineering principles
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD Inventor or similar)
- Experience designing automation systems fixtures and material handling equipment
- Knowledge of motion control systems and precision engineering applications
- Understanding of heat transfer principles and thermal system applications
- Experience with system-level troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail especially in precision-driven environments
Work Environment
- 100% onsite within a manufacturing facility
- Collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers
- Potential travel to vendor or supplier locations as needed to support projects
