Team Lead, Building Consultancy

• Lead in the successful implementation delivery and management of professional building consultancy advice to a range of clients in relation to technical due diligence instructions and other general building surveying advice.  

• Work closely with other T&T colleagues and departments to grow relationships and business opportunities.  

• Provide and guide teams to deliver client advice with the correct mix of experience and skills.  

• Defect analysis and providing commercial advice to clients. 

• Review the departments business plan and drive the team to achieve its objectives.  

• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles techniques and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. 

• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.  

• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with T&T values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. 

• Impact a range of customer operational project or service activities within own team and other related teams.  

• To positively contribute to the team and department business plan and to assist in achieving its objectives. 

• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions  

• Comply with T&Ts polices and management systems. 

• Explain difficult or sensitive information to others in straightforward situations.  

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in engineering or architecture preferred with 5-8 years of relevant lieu of a degree a combination of experience and education will be considered.  

• Professional Engineer or License Architect designation is an asset.  

• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. 

• Previous experience in people leadership.

• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.       

• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.   

• Sophisticated math skills.  Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages fractions and other financial-related calculations.

The base salary range for this full-time role is $95000 - $145000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on candidates experience and qualifications.
