Camunda Process Designer Flow Architect

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Process Designer / Flow Architect to design and optimize end-to-end workflows using BPMN 2.0 and Camunda 8. This role goes beyond diagram creationyou will define robust executable process flows that operate effectively across distributed systems ensuring scalability resilience and clarity.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders architects and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into efficient and production-ready orchestration designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end workflow orchestration (including happy paths and exception scenarios) using BPMN
• Translate business requirements into clear executable process models
• Define process boundaries states triggers and interactions (messages timers events compensations)
• Ensure workflows are robust by handling timeouts retries failures and idempotency
• Create and maintain Process Design Documentation (diagrams narratives exception handling strategies variable models)
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops with business product and technical teams
• Establish and enforce modeling standards and best practices
• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate and scalable implementation
• Define monitoring alerting and KPIs to ensure operational excellence
• Continuously improve process design for readability maintainability and performance

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with BPMN 2.0 workflow design in real-world environments
• Strong understanding of distributed systems orchestration (retries timeouts error handling saga/compensation patterns)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (product engineering operations)
• Ability to clearly communicate complex workflows through diagrams and documentation
• Experience in high-availability or regulated environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Camunda 8 (Zeebe)
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems
• Experience with API integrations and workflow orchestration
• Familiarity with process monitoring observability and KPIs
• Background in banking financial services or large enterprise environments
• Experience building reusable process frameworks or libraries
