Preparation Supervisor (Gladstone)

We are seeking an experienced Preparation Supervisor to join our Gladstone this role you will support the Business Manager in delivering high-quality timely laboratory services while leading a team to ensure accurate sampling preparation analysis and reporting in line with international standards.

You will play a key role in driving team performance maintaining strong safety standards and supporting continuous improvement across operations.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate daily preparation activities to ensure timely and accurate results
• Supervise coal sample preparation and testing in line with relevant standards
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and quality systems
• Promote a strong safety culture including risk identification and mitigation
• Monitor team performance and intervene where required to maintain safe work practices
• Maintain and improve procedures work instructions and risk assessments
• Support staff training development and competency assessments
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and clients
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects

Qualifications :

About You

• Minimum 5 years experience in coal laboratory operations
• Strong knowledge of sampling preparation analysis validation and reporting
• Experience with quality and compliance systems
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards) highly regarded
• Strong safety mindset with proven risk management capability
• Solid administrative and computer skills (Word Excel CCLAS)
• Proven ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership communication and team development skills
