Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer-ICT Operations | Infrastructure Platforms

We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Engineer to join a large complex ICT environment supporting enterprisewide infrastructure services. This role sits within the ICT Networks & Infrastructure Platforms function and plays a critical part in ensuring secure stable and highperforming storage and data platforms that support departmental staff and executive offices.

You will be responsible for the design deployment configuration optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise storage infrastructure across both physical and virtual environments. The role also includes SAN administration documentation mentoring and participation in afterhours oncall support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design deploy configure manage optimise and troubleshoot enterprise storage platforms at physical and virtual layers
• Administer and maintain Storage Area Network (SAN) environments including SAN switches
• Manage storage availability performance capacity backup and recovery services
• Lead storagerelated initiatives and contribute to the future direction of storage and data platforms
• Produce highquality design build operational and handover documentation
• Provide afterhours infrastructure oncall support as part of a rotating roster
• Share knowledge across the team and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure platform and operations teams

Qualifications :

Essential Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience designing administering tuning and troubleshooting enterprise storage systems including one or more of the following:
  • HPE 3PAR Primera or Alletra
  • NetApp ESeries
  • Dell Data Domain
  • Scality Artesca
• Strong expertise in SAN technologies including:
  • Brocade Fabric Switches
  • SANnav
• Proven experience producing technical documentation including architecture designs build guides and operational procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with highly skilled technical teams and stakeholders
• Proven ability to mentor coach and support junior team members

Desirable / Supporting Experience

• Experience or strong knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication
• Exposure to automation virtualization platforms data centre operations and enterprise backup and recovery solutions
• Experience working in large complex regulated ICT environments
