Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen to join the company as a Specifications Manager.  In this role you will represent Sikas technologies and capabilities to engineers architects contractors applicators and other relevant specifiers nationally.  Functions include providing technical support to specifiers and staff and presenting product information seminars.

We are seeking candidates familiar with the specification processes of the construction industry.  Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or architecture would be advantageous.  Most importantly you will have the personal attributes and presentation skills to communicate effectively with specifiers.

On a daily basis you will be

  • Hunting new business and developing opportunities in line with our company strategies
  • Managing new and existing accounts
  • Working with architects and designers to create system specifications
  • Negotiating sales and developing strong relationships in related industries
  • Responding to customer enquiries leading to providing quotations and specifications
  • Attending trade events and seminars where appropriate

Qualifications :

As the successful candidate you will

  • Be a strong hunter with a proven record in sales development
  • Be familiar with the specification processes of the construction industry
  • Have sales experience in a construction related industry
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel nationally
  • Have excellent relationship building skills
  • Have strong negotiation skills with the ability to compete on areas other than price
  • Be able to work autonomously where required
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Be computer literate with the ability to use email word and basic excel
