TheDirectorof Finance Partneringwillsupportstrategic and operational financial leadership forspecificEntities and/orInstitutesof Geisinger position isactively involved indevelopmentofthe operating and capital forecaststhelong-range financial model business plan financial models monthly operating reviews financial improvement initiatives promotionoffinancial and operationalbenchmarkingand assures compliance with financial standards and role is responsible to develop high performing team by coordinating efforts of assigned Senior Finance and Finance Partners.Job Duties:
* Hybrid work location requirements:
On-Site at Geisinger Medical Center - Danville PA for training period and then minimum 1 day per week
- Facilitates thespecific Entityor/Institutetargeted quarterly forecasting capital forecasting and long-range financial model goals in partnership with operational closely with Financial Planning in supporting key planning processes.
- ActivelyparticipatesintheEntity/Institutesmonth-end financial close review and analysisprocess including understandingtrends in volume revenue expenses and balance sheet with providing operational intelligence to incorporate into monthly close as well as assist in preparation ofmonthly closeforecast.
- Facilitatesa monthly operating review process for therespective operational areasincludingvariance reportingand coordinates and supports development of remediation and corrective action closelywith operationalleadershipto mitigateall material variances to plan.
- Supports CFO and AVP inpresentations to internal (operational leadership) parties.
- Stays informed ofvariousexternal reporting requirements such as the Medicare Cost Report and 990 tax filings.
- Supportsfinancial acumen educationforcorrespondingEntity/Instituteoperational andexecutive teams.
- Promotes useof key financial management reporting tools such as monthly management labor & non-labor productivity and laborandnon laborbenchmarking reportsfor assigned Entities/Institutes.
- Works closely with operational leadership onfinancial performance improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve overall financial performance.
- Works closely with the financial planning strategic planning operationalleadershipand others in development of business plansandretrospective financial reviews ofthose plansfor assigned Entity/Institute.
- SupportstheEntityor/Instituteoperational leadership with capital requests and preparesreturn on investment financial models to support these investments.
- Participates on roundingcommitteesand other forums where leadership representation from finance may be required.
